Brazil’s Ministry of Foreign Trade has set a definitive antidumping duty to seamless pipe imports from Ukraine, replacing temporary duties set in June, the ministry said Monday.

The move puts a duty of $155.80/mt on the product for exporter Interpipe Niko Tube and PJSC Interpipe, and $708/mt for other companies, the ministry said in a statement in Brazil’s official gazette.

The decision was effective Monday and will be valid for five years, it said.

The measure applies to seamless tube (line pipe) for oil and gas applications, with external diameters not exceeding five inches and imported between October 2012 through September 2013. These products are under HS code 7304.19.00.

Vallourec was responsible for 85.6% of domestic production of seamless tube during the period investigated, according to the report.
